Over the past few years, Carlyle has been competing with larger horses and have found the breeds we have selected have a natural presence, self carriage and rhythm, therefore making the training of these horses easier as they are naturally half way there.
The stud has a selection of broodmares which include Thoroughbred, Andalusian, Friesian and American Saddlebreds.
The brood mares this year have been sent to a variety of highly successful sires selected from these chosen breeds.
We will always offer a crop of foals that, we believe, will be the 'top of the pops' at a price that is realistic to the Performance Horse Clientele. We mean a realistic price because we would personnally get more pleasure from seeing our Stud Name, Carlyle, out there with the best.

All stock can be viewed on the mares and will be well handled.
Over many years of breeding I have always maintained that the best horses come from the best mares. We have never kept a colt from a female line that wasn't top class. Our Performance Horse brood mares have been selected with this criteria in mind.
As an old horse breeder once said to me, "it takes two to tango!"
